Dr. Carrillo is a double board-certified, dual-fellowship trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon specializing in jaw (orthognathic) surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. He focuses on facial transformation — combining skeletal correction, facial balance, and airway optimization to create natural, life-changing results.

Known for his calm, empathetic approach, Dr. Carrillo believes in guiding his patients every step of the way — from the first consultation to full recovery — so they feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their journey.

He serves as Fellowship Director of the Advanced Orthognathic Surgery Program, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, and he works closely with the Craniofacial Team at Texas Children’s Hospital.

In addition to his specialty focus, Dr. Carrillo practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including wisdom teeth removal, guided dental implant placement, bone grafting and reconstruction, TMJ disorders, jaw cysts and tumors, facial trauma, IV sedation and pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Outside the operating room, Dr. Carrillo is a devoted husband and father of two. He enjoys hiking, playing guitar, cooking, and reading. A lifelong learner, he’s passionate about personal growth and exploring new challenges. Fun fact: before becoming a surgeon, Dr. Carrillo was a professional guitar player, and he’s also a skilled dancer and chef — talents he now shares with his family on weekends.
