Dr. Juan Pablo Porte is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a subspecialty in custom jaw surgery. Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Dr. Porte earned his dental degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Dr. Juan Pablo Porte is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon based in Houston, Texas, specializing in custom jaw surgery and comprehensive facial procedures. He offers expert care in wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, TMJ treatment, sleep apnea management, jaw surgery, and oral pathology.

Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Dr. Porte earned his dental degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey and completed two intensive internships in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He was then accepted into the residency program at the University of Puerto Rico, where he trained extensively in orthognathic surgery and facial trauma, earning a Master’s degree in Dental Sciences.

Dr. Porte further honed his expertise through a one-year fellowship with Dr. Alfi, learning the AOS method. After completing his fellowship, he joined the Houston team, offering a full range of oral and maxillofacial surgery services.

Committed to patient-centered care, Dr. Porte focuses on understanding each patient’s unique needs. He ensures comfort and confidence throughout treatment, combining advanced surgical skills with a compassionate and approachable approach.


 

After living in San Juan, Puerto Rico for nearly five years, Dr. Porte became accustomed to the tropical weather and enjoys relaxing by the pool (when the Houston weather allows it). He also loves cooking with his wife, doing street photography, discovering new places around Texas, and watching soccer matches.
